Notice of Charter School Applications: Applications for approval of two charter schools have been received by the Rockford Board of Education. The application submitted by Legacy Academy of Excellence is scheduled for action by the Board at its Jan. 13 meeting. An administrative review of an application submitted by Chicago International Charter Schools will be presented Jan. 20 to the Education Committee, with a public meeting to discuss the application scheduled for Jan. 27.
