The District has installed a new spam email filtering system that has incoming email routed through the Barracuda Spam Firewall. Spam is tagged, quarantined or blocked based on preferences. Legitimate email is allowed through to the recipient. Each user will receive an email message entitled User Quarantine Account Information.

    See link for additional information.

Note: You can only access your Spam from within the district.

The Rockford Public Schools acquired licenses through Microsoft academic volume licensing programs that enable certified and clerical staff the right to use a second copy of Microsoft Office on a home computer for work-related purposes.

    See link for details

Work orders for computer issues can be entered on the web (see link above) or by e-mailling your request to support@rps205.com. Specify the building, room number and specific computer if there is more than one. IF the computer is operational...include the host name that is visible when the computer is logged in. Many issues can be solved remotely with this information. If possible include a phone number where you can be reached.

You may also call support directly at 966-3112. Again, they can solve most issues remotely.

The link above will lead you to lesson plan templates for many subjects. More will be added as the Power Standards are developed.

Note these templates are being updated. It is suggested that you revisit the template after 8-20-06 for the latest version
