Each teacher has a set of these to coordinate with the units in the grade level textbook. Suggestions on how to use the Social Studies Independent Books are included in the Teacher's Edition at the beginning of each unit. They are designed to directly support Social Studies instruction and are connected to the SS text/curriculum. Here is the code: Green Circle = Extra Support; Purple Triangle = On Level; Blue Square = Challenge.
