Independent Social Studies Readers List In Each Classroom! Each teacher has a set of these to coordinate with the units in the grade level textbook. Suggestions on how to use the Social Studies Independent Books are included in the Teacher's Edition at the beginning of each unit. They are designed to directly support Social Studies instruction and are connected to the SS text/curriculum. These books can be identified by the red and yellow circle/blue banner on the front cover. This product is a stand-alone resource and does not connect directly to the Social Studies text.
