Rockford community agencies and museums, along with the Rockford School District, have been providing academic and enrichment activities to students, grades 1- 8, at 19 sites throughout the community. This collaborative program helps 2,800 students receive academic support each year. The program has been funded through state and federal grants, however, funding cuts have occurred, reducing our ability to meet the demand for the program.

To provide 1 teacher for 1 hour for 15 students, ASAP @ RPS needs $25. With your help ASAP@RPS can continue to provide valuable programming to our youth.

As a volunteer, you meet with students, help with homework, read to a student, help with activities, and be a good listner. To volunteer call 966-3176 or email our volunteer coordinator
