ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION

| | WHAT IS ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATION? | | Illinois has established a process that allows qualifying individuals to become teachers through an alternative route to certification. A qualifying individual must go through several phases of an extremely rigorous program. After taking three courses, an individual may begin a one year teaching internship. An initial teaching certificate can be issued within 18 months. If you believe you qualify for this type of program, go to the links below. |
