Salary Schedules
Teacher Salary Schedule
The Teacher Salary Schedule is for the 2009-2010 school year. Teachers are paid based on their years of experience and the level of education they have acquired. The Column on the left stands for the years of experience and the row going across stands for the degree held plus additional credit hours at the graduate level. Figure A is the salary paid to the teacher and figure C is the total compensation the teacher will receive which includes the salary and the District pays into the Illinois Teacher Retirement System. These amounts do not include Health Benefits.

Insured full-time Teachers will pay the first $25 of monthly premium for single coverage for health insurance or the first $66 of monthly premium for dependent coverage for health insurance. Dental coverage is provided at no cost to the employee.


Paraprofessional Salary Schedule
The Paraprofessional salary schedule is established through June 30, 2009. All new “Highly Qualified” Paraprofessionals start at $9.53 per hour for the first step of the salary schedule. All “Non-Highly Qualified Paraprofessional”, start at $8.00 per hour for the first step of the salary schedule. Credit for experience outside Rockford Public Schools will not be given to new paraprofessionals. Paraprofessionals whose normal work schedule is thirty (30) hours or more per week are eligible for insurance coverage. Premiums are payable over a 9 month period. Dental coverage is provided at no cost to the employee.

Clerical Salary Schedule
The Clerical salary schedule is established through June 30, 2009. Clerical staff are paid according to the classification of their position and years of experience. All new clericals start at step one and are not given credit for experience outside of Rockford Public Schools. EOPA members premiums are payable over a 9/10 month period. Dental coverage is provided at no cost to the employee.

Food Service Salary Schedule
The Food service salary schedule is established through June 30, 2009. Food Service employees progress each year on the salary schedule provided the employee maintains satisfactory performance.Employees are paid according to their classification of their position and years of experience. All new Food Service employees start at step one and are not given years of experience for employment outside of Rockford Public Schools. Food Service employees whose normal work schedule is thirty (30) hours or more per week are eligible for insurance coverage. Premiums are payable over a 9 month period. Dental coverage is provided at no cost to the employee.

Bus Driver Salary Schedule
Bus Driver hourly wage rates are established through June 30, 2010. All new Bus Drivers will start at the first step of the schedule. No credit will be given for experience outside of Rockford Public Schools. Premiums are payable over a 9 month period. Dental coverage is provided at no cost to the employee.
