| The Rockford Public Schools acquired licenses through Microsoft academic volume licensing programs that enable certified and clerical staff the right to use a second copy of Microsoft Office on a home computer for work-related purposes.

| | Download Agreement | Please initial each statement Complete information at the bottom of form Send by Board Mail along with a check made out to Rockford Public Schools for the appropriate amount to Tim McFadden at the Board Office. This acceptance form is valid for the Microsoft products checked below, which shall be referred to collectively herein as the “Software”. Software is made available to you because the Rockford Public School District has purchased software licenses for the Software through a Microsoft® Academic Select 6.x agreement. Rockford Public School District is extending to you the right to use the Software for work-related purposes at home. You are not licensed to use the Software at home for personal purposes. You do not own the license, the Software, or the CDs. You will be required to remove the software from your home machine at the time of agreement expiration or termination.
Work at Home Use Rights have been granted by (name of institution) for the following product(s (referred to collectively herein as the “Software”):
Office Professional Edition 2002
(Office 2002 Professional has the following programs:Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.Publisher is not a part of Office Professional 2002)I cannot furnish Office 2007 to those staff that have Office 2002 on their school computer. Office Professional Office 2003 Microsoft had a licensing issue and withdrew the Office 2003 Work at Home (WAH) disks. My only option is to provide users of Office 2003 with the 2002 version. Office 2002 files should be compatible with your school computer. However, Office 2002 does not include Publisher. I cannot furnish Office 2007 to those staff that have Office 2003 on their school computer.

| | How to identify the version of Microsoft Office that you have on your school computer.
- Open Microsoft Word.
- Click Help.
- Click About Microsoft Word.
- Make note of the information that appears on the top two lines. It should resemble the picture below. You are looking for the Microsoft Office Professional and a number i.e., 2003, 2002 or Microsoft Word 2007, 2003, 2002.
(Microsoft Office 97 Disks are not available)

| | The individual will need to provide a check payable to Rockford Public Schools in order to reimburse the district for the cost of the media. (There is an $8.00 fee for NSF checks.)The staff member needs to keep the media and have it available for upgrades.

| | The IT department cannot provide technical assistance or be held responsible for problems arising from the installation. It is the staff member's responsibility to determine if their home system meets the System Requirements for Microsoft Office (see link below. The offer applies only to home computers and not to computers located in a school building. The software can only be used for work related projects. The software must be uninstalled should you leave the district. If you change buildings, you will be responsible for requesting (and paying for) a different version of Office Media should the computer at your new building have an older version than the one installed at home. This offer is only available to Certified, Clerical, IT staff. The license is only for the MS Office and is not available for the Windows Operating System.
