In 1970, the Parents for Gifted Education (PGE) Association was formed. While this association functions independently of the Rockford School District, its member parents are dedicated advocates of gifted education. Their support, which includes political advocacy, service, financial support of special programs and an informational resource for parents, significantly enhances the educational provisions for gifted children. |
