The curriculum content of the Academy at Auburn seeks to match the independence in thinking and learning of the gifted student in each of the core disciplines, targeting skill application, analysis, implication, ethical concepts, critical assessment and aesthetic evaluation criteria.
Subjects are enriched through field trips to sites where students observe professionals doing real research. Speakers in various fields of study are brought into the Academy as well, to offer their expertise. |

Other Offerings
Various service organizations provide leadership experience to students by offering extensive volunteer opportunities. Student government members plan events and service projects. Educational clubs and competitions challenge students while improving skills. Intramural sports include swimming, soccer, volleyball, basketball, track, wrestling, football and cross country. Academy advisory course includes mentoring, pass/fail and no homework options. Scholastic Bowl in NIC-9, with Auburn consistently placing at the top. |
