As with all educational programs, gifted programs must reflect the unique needs of the community as well as state and federal guidelines. Students are identified and selected for the Academic Gifted Education Program via a testing matrix and the professional judgment of the selection committee. The committee is comprised of gifted professional staff, regular education and district level administrative staff. |
District 205 Kindergarten students will be tested on-site, beginning in February 2006.
In the fall of each year, brochures explaining secondary academic testing and CAPA auditions will be sent to District 205 families with students in grades 5-11. |
