| About the Rockford Public Schools Homeless Program |

Rockford Public Schools homeless services have been serving the homeless community in Rockford since 1997. Operating with funds provided by the Illinois State Board of Education and the Stewart B. McKinney Act for Homeless Youth and Children, the program currently serves 900 children, age birth to 21. This is a ground-breaking program which has been nationally recognized.
