The Rockford Public School District is divided into seven sub districts.

Boundaries of Sub-District A:

At western boundary of school district, follow State Street east to Victory. North on Victory to Lydia. East on Lydia to Springfield Avenue. North on Springfield Avenue to School Street. East on School Street to Overland. Northeast on Overland (Following Rockford city limits) to Chisholm Terrace. Where Overland meets Chisholm, follow straight line east to the center of Auburn High School and then straight north through the middle of the school to Auburn Street. East on Auburn Street (following Rockford city limits) to Kent Creek. Southeast following Kent Creek to Fairview Avenue.

East on Fairview Avenue until it ends and then directly east from Fairview across the railroad and the quarry to Horsman Street. South on Horsman Street to Whitman Street. West on Whitman Street to Forest Avenue. South on Forest Avenue to West State Street. East on West State to Tay Street. South on Tay Street to where it crosses the North Western Railroad tracks. Follow the railroad tracks southeast to South Winnebago Street. Northeast on South Winnebago Street to Green Street. Southeast on Green Street to the Rock River.

Follow Rock River south to Fifteenth Avenue. Follow Fifteenth Avenue east to Christina Street. Follow Christina Street south to Blackhawk Park Avenue. East on Blackhawk Park Avenue to Magnolia Street. Follow Magnolia south to Harrison. West on Harrison to Rock River. Follow Rock River south to Sandy Hollow Road. Sandy Hollow Road east to C.B. & Q railroad. Follow railroad south to U.S. 20. Follow U. S. 20 northwest to western boundary of school district.

North along the west side of Douglas Street (including the houses on the west side of Douglas street) to Brown Avenue. West on Brown Avenue to North Main Street. Follow North Main Street north to West Riverside Blvd. West on West Riverside Blvd .to Huffman Avenue. Continue straight north from Huffman Avenue for approximately one half-mile then turn west.

Continue west for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn north again. Continue north to Elmwood Road. East on Elmwood Road for approximately one-quarter mile, then turn south. Continue south for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn west. Continue west for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn directly south. Continue south for approximately one quarter mile then turn east. Continue east for approximately one quarter mile then turn north. Continue north for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn east. Continue east to North Main Street. Follow North Main Street for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn west. Continue west for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn north. Continue north for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn east. Continue east to North Main Street. Follow North Main Street to stream which leads to Rock River, west of Marquette Road. Follow stream to Rock River. Follow Rock River north to northern boundary of school district.

Boundaries of Sub-District D:

Regarding the western boundary: On the west side of Rock River from Marquette Road, follow stream to Main Street. Follow No. Main Street to Elmwood Road. West on Elmwood Road for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn south. Continue south for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn east. Continue east to North Main Street. Follow North Main Street for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn west. Continue west for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn south. Continue south for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn west. Continue west for approximately one quarter mile. Turn north at Huffman Blvd. Continue north from Huffman Blvd. For approximately one half mile then turn east.

Continue east for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn North. Continue north to Elmwood Road. West on Elmwood Road for approximately one quarter mile then turn south. Continue south for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn east. Continue east for approximately one eighth of a mile then turn south. Continue directly south for approximately one quarter mile to Huffman Blvd. Follow Huffman Blvd. South to West Riverside Drive. East on West Riverside Drive to North Main Street. Southeast on Meadow Lane to High Crest Road. East on High Crest Road to Cynthia Drive. Continue south following the city limit line to a point just south of Burrmont Road. Follow a straight line east between Burrmont Road and Barrington Road to a point just east of Rebecca Drive. North along the edge of Rebecca Drive and following the city limit line to the intersection of Augustana Drive and High Crest Road. East on High Crest Road to Larkspur Drive. Northeast on Larkspur to Hollyhock Drive. Northwest on Hollyhock to Jonquil Place. Northeast on Jonquil to Spring Creek Road. East on Spring Creek Road to Mulford Road. North on Mulford Road to Spring Brook Road. Northeast on Spring Brook Road to Shaw Road.

South on Shaw Road to Spring Creek Road. Spring Creek Road East to U.S. 90. North on U.S. 90 to East Riverside. East on Riverside to eastern boundary of school district. (The northeastern boundary of sub-district D is the northeastern boundary of the school district.)

Boundaries Of Sub-District E:

The northern boundary of Subdistrict E is the southern boundary of Subdistrict D. The southern boundary of Subdistrict E begins at Seventh Avenue and Eighteenth Street. At Seventh Avenue and Eighteenth Street, south on Eighteenth St. to Tenth Avenue to Twenty-third Street. South on Twenty third to Broadway. East on Broadway to Newburg Road. Continue East on Newburg Road to South Mulford Road. From South Mulford Road the boundary of Subdistrict E follows the eastern boundary of precincts 9 and 10 of Ward 14, and the southern boundary of Precinct 15 of Ward 1 to East State Street. Northeast on State Street (including the portion of Precinct 15 Ward 1 lying south of State Street) to eastern boundary of school district.

Boundaries of Sub-District F:

The northern boundary of Subdistrict F is the southern boundary of Subdistrict E (attached). At Broadway, southwest on Ohio Parkway to Oregon Avenue to Carolina Avenue. East on Carolina Avenue to Wisconsin Road. South on Wisconsin Road to Harrison Avenue. West on Harrison Avenue to Illinois Central railroad. Follow tracks southeast (following Rockford city limits) to South Alpine Road. South on South Alpine to north edge of O'Connell Street.

West on north edge of O'Connell Street to the end. South along west edge of O'Connell. East along south edge of O'Connell to South Alpine Road. South on South Alpine to Majesty Court. West on Majesty Court to Thirty-fifth. South on Thirty- fifth to Sandy Hollow. East on Sandy Hollow to South Alpine. South on South Alpine to By-pass 20. East on By-pass 20 for approximately one quarter mile then turn south. South to Samuelson Road. West on Samuelson Road to Thirty-fifth Street. South on Thirty-fifth Street to Blackhawk Road. East on Blackhawk Road to Highway 51. South on Highway 51 to Kishwaukee River. Follow Kishwaukee River west to Route 251. South on Route 251 to southern boundary of school district.

Boundaries of Sub-District G:

At western boundary of school district, follow Highway 20 southeast to C.B. & Q. Follow tracks north to Sandy Hollow Road. Follow Sandy Hollow Road west to Kishwaukee Street. Follow Kishwaukee north to Twenty-first Avenue. Follow Twenty-first Avenue east to Sixth Street. Follow Sixth Street north to Eleventh Avenue. East on Eleventh Avenue to Eighth Street. South on Eighth Street to Sixteenth Avenue. East on Sixteenth Avenue to Tenth Street. North on Tenth Street to Broadway. East on Broadway to Woodruff Avenue.

Northwest on Woodruff Avenue to Thirteenth Street. North on Thirteenth Street to Seventh Avenue. East on Seventh Avenue to Eighteenth Street. South on Eighteenth Street to Tenth Avenue.
