Academic Teams
6A Mrs. Ekstrom + Mrs. Shinn

Team 6A sets the tone for our year by putting into practice the Four P's: Prompt, Prepared, Productive, Polite. These goals allow students to thrive in a classroom climate where independent work and cooperative group activities meet the needs of our diverse learners. We are happy, safe, ready to meet challenges, and we have fun! Team 6A students are required to write assignments in their agenda books and get parent signatures daily.

6B Mrs. Dover + Ms. Goodin

We strongly promote team building activities and mutual respect for one another. We expect our students to use their assignment notebooks daily to be successful, and we encourage our students to get involved in after school activities so they can experience the middle school concept.
We coordinate our English and Language Arts program and we do Accelerated Math as well as Everyday Math. We enjoy team teaching and we often we often team teach to the entire team of 60 kids.

6C Mr. Russey + Erin Zawlocki

Team 6C is an actively engaged team working toward a good balance of individual growth and the ability of all our students to work together. This fall we have scheduled a day at the YMCA Outdoor Education Center. More information will be sent home on this at a later date. We, as teachers, see ourselves as facilitators guiding 6C students to be successful at Eisenhower. Be sure you check your student's assignment notebook each evening and be sure his/her schoolwork is finished to be turned in the next day. Through your support, we can make great things happen!

6D Ms. Lee + Ms. Speers

Adventurous Egyptian group projects have taken 6D students back in time in social studies. Language arts students are excelling in the process of writing persuasive, expository and narrative papers. Regular hands-on science labs are a highlight for team 6D. Accelerated Math and the Everyday Mathematics program are combined to cover computation and problem solving methods. Reading and actively responding to literature is helping out students' reading comprehension. Students on team 6D are required to fill out daily assignment in assignment notebooks to keep organized. Respect for each other is emphasized.

6E Ms Cottrill + Mrs. Roarty

Team 6E is Going for the Gold this year! Students on team 6E chose the Dolphins for the team name because they liked the acronym and what it stands for: D-delightful, O-obedient, L-leadership, P-postive & proud, H-honest & helpful, I-intelligent & imaginative, N-noble, and S-smart & satisfied, all values embraced by the students as character traits of a good student. We also have a Homework Club on Tuesdays where students can complete make-up work, homework or projects. We work together as a team to accomplish our goals. Our team usually blocks our classes so we work for 2 periods in a row on Math/Social Studies and English/Science. This allows us more time to work on projects that we complete in the classroom, the science lab or in the auditorium. Field trips this year include Atwood Outdoor Environmental Center and a trip to the Museum in Milwaukee in the spring.
