Mission Statement We, the staff of Conklin Elementary School, are committed to provide opportunities for academic and social achievement for our diverse student population.
SCHOOL STARTS EVERY DAY AT 8 A.M.!! PLEASE CALL WHEN YOUR CHILD IS ABSENT!
RPS EENS!!!! What in the world is THAT????? Well, it is the Rockford Public Schools Emergency Electronic Notification System, a subscription service for notifying parents of emergency situations or conditions in our schools. If you desire to receive these notifications, you MUST subscribe to the service on the school district website: http://rps205alerts.com Please be advised that the school district offers this service free to all parents/subscribers; however, there MAY be some sort of a charge that your ISP or your mobile phone service may charge you for text messages, etc.
Read-Aloud Enjoyment Some of the best times with your child may be when you share a story. Get the most out of reading aloud with these 3 easy tips: Hold the book so your youngster can see the words and pictures while you’re reading. Run your finger under the text or point to interesting things in the illustrations. Take your time and don’t rush the story. Your child can tell if you’re in a hurry. Reading slowly will help you read clearly—and give you and your youngster more time together. Don’t be afraid to stop reading a book if your child doesn’t seem interested. Have a backup selection ready so read-aloud can continue.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: THE MONDAY AND TUESDAY MENUS WILL BE SWITCHED NEXT WEEK: MONDAY WILL BE CHEESEBURGERS,TUESDAY WILL BE CHICKEN STRIPS.
September 24th is School Picture Day! ALL students are REQUIRED to wear their regular School Uniform that day.
