Birth to 3
Dennis Early Education Center offers programming for children from birth to age three. The program encourages children to learn and explore through books, songs, games, play, and art activities both individually and through group programming. Parenting information and support is provided through on-going workshops and classes. For information about these programs, please call 967-8030. |
Preschool
The Dennis Early Education Center serves preschool children ages 3 to 5 and their families. With nature as it's theme, opportunities are provided for children to engage in a variety of learning activities both indoors and out. Through active learning, the children are encouraged to use materials safely, make appropriate choices, improve language, and develop a sense of independence and self-esteem. Through observation of the children as they work and learn, their development is noted by use of a performance-based, portfolio assessment which is aligned with the Illinois Early Learning Standards. |
