Ellis Arts Academy Guiding Principles |
Ellis will be an exciting, creative learning environment embracing the belief that students with diverse and special learning needs will be an integral part of the education experience.
• The curriculum will adhere to the core academic goals of the Rockford School District. • The Arts will be integrated into every aspect of the school. • Skills in dance, drama, literary arts, media arts, and music and visual arts will be taught. • Respect and relationships will be paramount. • Small groups will be established to create a nurturing, close-knit climate within the school. • Various cultural perspectives will be integrated into the curriculum. • Parent education and involvement will be critical. • The Arts community will be a resource for student learning and the Arts Magnet School will be a resource for the community. |
Ellis Announcements |
Parking in the Circle Drive Please do not park in the circle drive when you are dropping students off or picking them up. If we have an emergency, emergency vehicles will not be able to reach the building.
Market Day: Check your child’s backpack for the order forms. Recess Students in K-5th grade will go outside for recess. Please send them to school with the appropriate clothing.
Reading Students in K-8th grade should be reading 20 minutes a night. This is a building requirement.
