Rockford Environmental Science Academy will provide a challenging, nurturing, and safe environment where middle school students can excel academically and grow socially and emotionally into responsible young adults. Through the implementation of a Love and Logic program, students will have the opportunity to experience classroom and real life problem solving skills to assist in the endeavor to become productive citizens. The RESA staff will teach to the Illinois State standards. As a professional development school, we will continue to collaborate with NIU and Rock Valley College. RESA will strive for excellence in everything we do!

Mr. William Ady, Principal, RESA Middle School The RESA Staff welcomes the return of Mr.Ady to RESA as the principal. Mr. Ady has a vast experience working with middle school students. He was the principal at Aubutn Freshman Campus during the 2009-2010 school year. Prior to that, Mr. Ady was the 7th grade assistant principal at RESA for 6 years. Mr. Ady was also a special education teacher for 11 years and holds a second masters degree in counseling. WELCOME BACK MR. ADY! RESA Welcomes Mrs. Denise Niner, School Nurse Click here to see information about school physicals (cost $25) from Winnebago County Health Department Mrs. Niner, School Nurse, wants to remind parents, all 6th grade students MUST have physical on file in her office by October 15, 2010. On Wednesday, August 18 Winnebago County Health Department will be providing physicals, immunizations and lead testing at Salvation Army Millennium Center at 220 S. Madison Street from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. For school physicals appointments are required. Click on the link for costs and additional details. If the student does not have a physical on file they can be excluded from school after 10/15/10. The student can return to school when the physical is turned into Mrs. Niner. Click on the "Immunization" button in the left side bar for further details. This is in English and Spanish. |
