Rockford Environmental Science Academy will provide a challenging, nurturing, and safe environment where middle school students can excel academically and grow socially and emotionally into responsible young adults. Through the implementation of a Love and Logic program, students will have the opportunity to experience classroom and real life problem solving skills to assist in the endeavor to become productive citizens. The RESA staff will teach to the Illinois State standards. As a professional development school, we will continue to collaborate with NIU and Rock Valley College. RESA will strive for excellence in everything we do!

Chess Club News Chess Team Captures 1st Place RESA's Chess TEAM took 1st place at the Freeport Invitational Team Chess Tournament on December 11th. Representing RESA were Brent Pierce, Jonathan McDermott, Josue Cuahquentzi, Chase Rambo, Dylan Barber, Cassie Anderson, David Smith, William Vronch, Dominic Wailly, Erin Smith, and Annie Carter.
