Kudos to Auburn's A team for finishing second on April 24 at the Northern Illinois University tournament preparing teams for the National High School Championship quiz tournament which will be held on May 29-30. Co-captain Lloyd Sy made the all-tournament team.
On Saturday, March 19, THE AUBURN SCHOLASTIC BOWL TEAM FOR FINISHING 2ND IN THE STATE AT THE IHSA CHAMPIONSHIPS! Congrats!
On Saturday, March 13, the Auburn team won its own IHSA Sectional tournament and will now make its ninth consecutive appearance at the state tournament in Peoria on March 19.
On Saturday, March 6, the Auburn team finished third at the Illinois Masonic Academic Bowl State Tournament.
These AHS players were named to the Nic-10 Scholastic Bowl All-Sectional team: Zahed Haseeb, Lloyd Sy, and Jordan Hoffmann.
On Monday, March 8, Auburn won the Class AA IHSA regional championship held at our home school. They now advance to the March 13 sectional, also held here at Auburn.
Auburn went 10-0 February 27 to win the National Academic quic tournament state qualifier at Fenton High School. Co-captains Lloyd Sy and Zahed Haseeb made the all-tournament team.
Auburn continues its great success in the Nic-10 Scholastic Bowl season. On February 9, Auburn ended a perfect season, 15-0.
February 13, Auburn won the Wildcat XII Quic Bowl tournament at Northwestern University. Also, team captains Lloyd Sy and Zahed Haseeb made the all-tournament team.
Auburn's frosh-soph team went 5-0 to win the conference frosh-soph title on February 17.
On Saturday, February 20, Auburn won the Class AA Sectional Masonic Academic Bowl held at Auburn, winning a $400.00 scholarship and advancing to the March 6 State Masonic Academic Bowl.
Auburn sent 3 teams to the Huskie Bowl (at NIU) on Saturday, February 6 and brought home three trophies. Auburn A won the upper division championship, while Auburn B finished second in the novice division and Auburn C won this division's consolation championship. Congrats!
On Saturday, January 30, Auburn's A team took top honors at the 2nd annual Loyburn Classic, held at their home school. The A team was made up of Lloyd Sy (on all-tournament team), Zahed Haseeb, Jordan Hoffman, Abid Haseeb, and Filip Milovanovic. Auburn B finished in sixth place.
On Saturday, January 16, Auburn "A" team won the championship at the annual Winnebago Invitational Scholastic Bowl tournament; Auburn "B" team finished second. Zahed Haseeb, Abid Haseeb, Lloyd Sy, Jordan Hoffman, and Dayne Rogers made up the "A" team, while Alex Cooper, Saad Sheikh, Ariana Munger, Evan Preece, and Danielle Henson made up the "B" team.
Auburn's Frosh-Soph team finished second in the Davey & Goliath Throwdown Quiz Bowl Tournament January 16 at Loyola Academy.
