I graduated from Rockford College with my Master's in teaching in 2004. I have an undergrad degree in Child Development from NIU.
This will be my 4th year teaching (3rd at Eisenhower). I have been married for a year to Kurt who works at the Byron Power Plant. We have a golden doodle named Cooper and live in Winnebago.

This will be my tenth year teaching sixth grade at Eisenhower Middle School. I enjoy working with sixth graders because of their enthusiasm for learning and life and their flexibility. Watching them grow in independence throughout the year is very exciting and rewarding.
During my teaching career I have taught third grade, special education in both elementary and middle school and seventh grade math. I am very familiar with Eisenhower because all three of my children attended Eisenhower.
Currently all 3 of my children reside in Colorado so my vacation days are spent going out to see them. I am also excited because I am a grandmother for the first time and love seeing our grandchild, Liam James, who was born last March. My husband, Joe, and I are celebrating our 35th year of marriage on August 25…our first day of school!
