Now in its 18th year, ExploraVision is a science competition that encourages K-12 students of all interest, skill and ability levels to create and explore a vision of future technology by combining their imaginations with the tools of science. All inventions and innovations result from creative thinking and problem solving. That's what ExploraVision is all about.

-First Prize (4 teams): U.S. EE Savings Bond worth $10,000* at maturity for each student
-Second Prize (4 teams): U.S. EE Savings Bond worth $5,000* at maturity for each student
-An expense paid trip to Washington, DC in June for ExploraVision Awards Weekend for each national winning student and their parents/guardians
-A Toshiba-branded product for each regional winning student
-A unique prize for all students on 500 Honorable Mention winning teams
-A certificate of participation and an entry gift for every student whose team submits a complete entry
-A special discount on Toshiba computer products for all participants

Any Illinois middle school student can enter this contest. The goal of this project is to develop students' researching and fact-finding skills in addition to educating them on the various forms of energy that we use today.

The students who produce the winning viedo for the middle school category will each receive $100 to spend on school supplies. In addition, the middle school will each receive $3,000 to put towards its science department needs.

Have fun and help the school. This contest can be combined with the unit science project.

2009-2010 eCYBERMISSION Registration Now Open!

ECYBERMISSION CONTEST
Registration for the eighth annual eCYBERMISSION competition is underway at www.ecybermission.com.

eCYBERMISSION is a FREE, web-based, science, math and technology competition for students in grades six through nine. The competition introduces students to the scientific method as they work in teams to solve a problem in their community, and illustrates how science, math and technology apply to everyday life. Every student and Team Advisor who participates in eCYBERMISSION will receive various gifts during the Registration and Submission phases, while students on winning teams will receive between $2,000 and $8,000 in U.S. EE Savings Bonds. There are 96 winning teams every year, and the 16 first-place winning teams are invited to Washington, D.C. to compete in the national competition.
