Keyboarding Standards



Course Description:
This course is designed for all 9th grade students to increase their opportunities to succeed in work after graduation or continue their education at a community college or university. Students will learn to use computers as tools in conjunction with related software and operating systems. Students are introduced to the American economy and the role business plays in the United States economy's well being. Topics include keyboarding/proofing, computer concepts/components, understanding Windows and the Web/Internet, business-government relations, forms of business ownership, finance, management, nmarketing, and economic concepts. Career opportunities in business and information technology related fields will be explored.
